2.) Why are there no starter versions of Windows 11 or 10!
It is a strategically wise decision by Microsoft Windows to no longer offer these versions. The starter versions were quite slimmed down and there were only problems with support, which is why they were omitted from the latest Windows versions.
This additional support effort, which had to be provided not only by Microsoft itself but also by the OEM or volume license providers, was very high for the starter versions, which is why it is good that these versions no longer exist.
The "Starter Edition" is not an official edition of Windows 10 or Windows 11. However, there have been starter editions in the past in previous versions of Windows, such as Windows 7. These starter editions were usually designed for specific markets or for use designed on low-end computers and offered some limited features compared to the more expensive versions of Windows.
Typically, the Starter edition of Windows included features such as:
Limited customization options: Users could not change the wallpaper or screen saver.
Limited multitasking features: Starter editions only supported opening a limited number of applications at the same time.
Limited network features: Some network features, such as connecting to a home network, were limited.
No Aero interface: These editions did not support the Aero interface that was available in the higher-end versions of Windows.
It is important to note that these starter editions no longer exist in the newer versions of Windows, particularly Windows 10 and Windows 11. Instead, Microsoft offers different editions, such as Windows 10 Home, Pro, Enterprise, etc., as well as Windows 11 Home, Pro and Enterprise, each with different features and price points. In these modern versions of Windows, the differences between editions are not as drastic as in the starter editions of previous versions of Windows.
