So that the computer does not run useless, and that costs electricity and is bad for the environment. I do not want to know how big the damage worldwide is due to useless computers. I think it is very much.
The elegant Windows off-time solution is not only written for Windows 10 and 7, although this screenshot has been made under Windows 10 as you can see above under Windows 10 shot screenshot. You can easily use this example as a solution when the Windows PC is switched off, and easily on older versions of Microsoft's Windows operating systems.
It does not matter if it's a simple Windows Desktop PC, or you're working on your Tablet PC, Surface Pro / Go, or even in a security server room and using as an MS Server Shutdown Timer.
It is a simple yet effective tool to shut down or suspend any Windows PC on a timed basis. It has been tested on many MS-OS and successfully verified.
Although it is not the primary function of DontSleep , but shutting down of Windows at a certain time is also possible for newcomers to Windows. This is also possible on Windows Server 2016/2012 and other Windows OS.
The solution to prevent my computer from sleeping, but still allow the screen turn off, setting example on Windows 11 or 10 This screenshot has been made,
The Freeware Don't Sleep is good if Windows should be shutdown correctly otherwise I have many reasons not only when Windows should be shutdown, the timed hibernation is good!
I have always wanted to influence the switch-on and switch-off times and the operating time of the PC, even if Windows logs them, the automatic switch-off times when to shut down are practical!
You can also find it in the event log information that everyone is in the control panel but this simple tool is very good. Does the boot process work well?
Is there an option for a computer to restart/logoff after the timer expires. Use case: I have a shared/monitoring PC that needs to be logged in by the first person coming into the office (showing help desk statistics on a big TV). Don't sleep is happily preventing the computer from sleeping. What I want to achieve is for the computer to be restarted (or logged off) after the timer expires (after 8 hours), making sure the computer doesn't stay logged in after hours. I could achieve that with MS Scheduler although it would be neat to have it in your app. Of course, it will need to be a parameter/switch that could be passed on during Don't Sleep startup. Would that be easy to achieve?
